I did. :(
I work next week! Three days! It was four - the first time EVER I've been schedualed FOUR TIMES - but I had to give a shift away. :( I was schedualed the day of my pool party! And I couldn't be late to my own party, right??
Right.
Quinn and I went to our first voice lesson yesterday. :) WE'RE SINGING CARO MIO BEN! I've been studying that for months. :D
It went really well, though I'm very out of practice. Quinn sounds awesome. :)
I FOUND MY MONOLOGUE!
For theatre. I'm performing the part of Helena for Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" Act III, Scene 2. (Slate! :D)
It starts off "Lo! She is one of this confederacy!"
Raaaawr!
So, after months of begging...
I'M GETTING A KITTEN!
I need a name for her! Or him! I don't know which it is yet. But my kitten is so cute! And it comes with a trauma story!
One of my step dads coworkers was leaving when the kitty walked up to her in the parking lot with car oil dried in its fur and a broken tail. She took kitty home and washed it and the cat seems to be a dusty white color with the bluest eyes I've ever seen. And she thinks it's tail was shut in a car door. :C
It's not a flat-faced Persian, BUT I WANT IT!
And I got it! :D
You all should see my room. It's immaculate. Well, the floor is. The surfaces of my dresser and piano and stuff are a bit cluttered, but I'm working on it! Everything is out of kitty's reach, because it has to stay in my room until we get it shots. :)
Mew, mew, meow!
When you're a skinny child of fifteen,
Wired with braces from ear to ear,
You doubt that you will ever be appealing...
The hallelujah! You are sixteen,
And the braces disappear,
And your skin is smooth and clear,
And you have that happy, grown-up, female feeling!
How lovely to be a woman,
The wait was well worthwhile,
How lovely to wear mascara,
And smile a woman's smile.
How lovely to have a figure
That's round instead of flat,
Whenever you hear boys whistle,
You're what they're whistling at!
It's wonderful to feel
The way a woman feels,
It gives you such a glow,
Just to know,
You're wearing lipstick and heels.
How lovely to be a woman,
And have one job to do:
To pick out a boy and train him,
And then when you are through,
You've made him the man you want him to be...
How lovely to be a woman, like me!
How wonderful to know
The things a woman knows!
How marvelous to wait
For a date
In simply beautiful clothes!
How lovely to be a woman,
And change from boys to men,
And go to a fancy night club,
And stay out after ten!
How lovely to be so grown-up and free!
Life's lovely when you're a woman... like me!
I lost that game!
Bye (:
