St. Jims High

Has opened for another semester! Check out my favorite blogger at stjimshigh.blogspot.com.

In Desi news!

If you haven't hit up my new blog yet, I suggest am now telling you to do so. desionthego.blogspot.com.

So, I ended up not going to Brophy prom (AS MY NEW BLOG FOLLOWERS ALREADY KNOW!) but since I bought my dress and Quinn had a tux - before his mom just returned it... - we decided to go out on a hot, hot date that night in our get up instead. Since Quinn's mom returned his tux, he wore slacks and a nice button up and I wore my prom dress! We went to Benihana's and sat with two families of three - both had a mom, dad and son - and we did, in my opinion, an improv exercise while we told them we WERE going to prom, in fact, and a whole bunch of little things. :)
It was so cute, the family on the left side of the table, whom I sat next to, had a little two-year-old son who kept flirting with me all night! XD he'd make kissy faces and we stuck our tongues out at each other and he kept giving me that little squish-y faced and squinty eyed little smile that only babies can do that make you melt. :D

Mrs. Ubrig and Ms. Coffey have jobs again! We found out in first hour (meaning I knew before any other choir! Muhahaha) that Ubrig will be with us all day and Coff will be here for the advanced classes, but has to go to MJHS for the end of the day to teach the two choirs there. :)

Speaking of choir, we decided on our final outfits for the last concert! We're not doing a musical like the rest of the years, but we're doing blocking with props and costumes and I think a little dancing. Not everyone will dress identical, but we'll all be following the same color scheme or be picking one of two outfits, so we'll be very similar. I'll tell you what I'm wearing:
For "What'll I Do?" (a jazz piece).
- Black flats.
- White tights.
- Black shorts with white pinstripes and matching suspenders.
- White button up with sleeves rolled up to my elbows.
- Black vest.
- Black fedora (HECK YEAH!).

For "Le Train D'Hiver" (A French peice about a train).
- Gray shoes (Vans, maybe).
- Denim pant overalls.
- Blue t-shrit.
- Red hankerchief in my hair (I'm mimicing this poster: just add overalls)

For "Omnia Sol" (A half english and I think half latin song about how hard growing up can be and remembering the good times).
- Silver flats.
- White A-line skirt.
- Seafoam green button up with little diamond-looking buttons.

For "Lonesome Road" (About regetting a hastily lived life, where, if you'd only stopped and thought, would have ended on an entirely different path. All choirs sing this together).
- Black flats.
- Black pants.
- Bright blue t-shirt.

"Lonesome Road" gives me very serious goosebumps. :C

With thoughts of outfits dancing in your heads, I'll leave you. Peace out girl scouts. :D
